ASP Mission Project
Appalachia Service Project was started 47 years ago by a Methodist minister who saw a sub-standard housing epidemic in central Appalachia. Since its founding, ASP has served over 13,000 families with the help of over 170,000 volunteers. Their goal is to eradicate substandard housing in Appalachia, making homes warmer, safer and drier.
The Episcopal Diocese of Washington (EDOW) is looking to send adults and youth to rural Appalachia June 18 to June 24, 2017 to work with the Appalachia Service Project (ASP) to help make homes warmer, safer and drier. The experience was overwhelmingly positive and life-changing for the missioners that we have opened this opportunity to all youth and adult leaders across the Diocese who would like to serve on the ASP Mission Project.
